Broken Promise of Allowing Jews Into Palestine-Kept Out During Holocaust

                                                                           Brits in WWI Palestine
afterwards to receive mandate for the land from League of Nations

Great Britain's way of handling Arabs during World War I was to appease them.  Here they were given the mandate by the League of Nations (The UN's first try at solving problems of the world-parent group of the United Nations) to assist the Jews in creating their Jewish Homeland

So what did they do?  They placed restrictions on Jewish immigration but at the same time allowed Arabs to enter the country freely.  One of the biggest appeasers was Herbert Louis Samuel (1870-1963), a British statesman and the 1st Jew to be a member of a British cabinet from 1909.  He held office in the Liberal government from 1905 to 1916, and then in the national government from 1931 to 1932.  He wrote a memo to the Cabinet in 1914 concerning a British trust for the Jewish Home.  This was to influence the Balfour Declaration to be written, which was a good thing.

During World War I of 1914-1917, the Jewish population, of which never completely left the land, did not receive many immigrants.  In fact, it declined due to the war, famine it caused and disease running rampant and expulsion. By 1915, about 83,000 Jews lived in Palestine among 590,000 Muslim and Christian Arabs.  By 1919 had 1,806 Jewish immigrants  enter Palestine.  Throughout the 20s, most immigrants were from Eastern Europe.
1920 had  8,223   "          "                 "      "
1921 had  8,294    "          "                 "      "

Haj Amin al-Husseini
sherif of Jerusalem
Grand Mufti

Abdullah, later to be King of Transjordan
'Abdullah I bin al-Hussein, King of Jordan (Arabicعبد الله الأول بن الحسين‎‎,Abd Allāh ibn al-Husayn, February 1882 – 20 July 1951), born in Mecca,HejazOttoman Empire (in modern-day Saudi Arabia), was the second of three sons of Hussein bin AliSharif and Emir of Mecca and his first wife Abdiyya bint Abdullah (d. 1886).  Abdullah led a force of 5,000 tribesmen but they did not have the weapons or discipline for a full attack. Instead he laid siege to town."
In 1921,   Winston Churchill, then the Colonial Secretary,  rewarded Abdullah   by installing him as emir.  It has been thought that he was the son of Husseini, but wasn't.  His surname is Hussein, and was from Saudi Arabia.  Husseini was from Palestine, at least for a few generations.   Then Churchill severed nearly 4/5 of Palestine, some 35,000 sq. miles, to create Transjordan.  That was promised land to be the Jewish Homeland!  Did he forget the words of the mandate?  It had stated that "the Administration of Palestine...shall encourage, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency...close settlement by Jews on the land, including State lands and waste lands not acquired for public purposes."

By the 1922 census, the Jewish population was 84,000 while the Arabs grew to 643,000.  The Arab population continued to grow exponentially while the Jews stagnated-according to British plan.  Arabs still practiced multiple marriage partners in having the limit of 4 wives each of desired.  Jews didn't.
1923 had 8,175  Jewish immigrants enter Palestine.

In 1924, Jewish immigration to Palestine increased  to 13,855 because of so much anti-Jewish economic legislation in Poland, and Washington's imposition of restrictive quotas of Jews entering the USA.

By 1925, 34,386 Jewish immigrants entered Palestine.  Jews of the Pale of Settlement and Russia were suffering from pogroms.  They needed a country to take in refugees, and Palestine should have been available to them.
Haj  Amin al- Husseini  From as early as 1920 he actively opposed Zionism, and was implicated as a leader of the 1920 Nebi Musa riots. Al-Husseini was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment but was pardoned by the British. In 1921 the British High Commissioner appointed him Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a position he used to promote Islam while rallying a non-confessional Arab nationalism against Zionism.  During the period 1921-36 he was considered an important ally by the British Mandatory authorities."

The Brits only allowed in 1926, 13,855.  By 1927 only 3,034 were allowed in.  By 1928, 2,178; and by 1929, a terrible year of the USA stock-market crash, 5,249 were able to enter. It was also a terrible year for the Jews as Husseini, the leader in Jerusalem of Arabs created an attack on Jews.  "In 1936, the Arab Higher Committee, led by Grand Mufti Husseini, launched a campaign of anti-Jewish violence across Palestine. Accompanied by a six-month-long strike, the campaign became known as "The Arab Revolt." As the British increasingly became targets of Arab violence, they used massive force to suppress the aggression. The revolt was finally quashed in 1939. The resulting White Paper of 1939 reversed British commitment to a Jewish State (the raison d'etre of the Mandate) and drastically limited Jewish immigration into Palestine."  The ironic fact is that  a Jew of Great Britain, none other than Herbert Samuel, had  selected Husseini for his position, showing his equality in dealing with everyone, he thought.  Little did he know.

Police rounding up Jews in Baden-Baden, Germany.
From 1930 onwards, conditions were getting worse for Jews in Germany.  The 30s had immigrants escape to Palestine from Nazi Germany.  This year only 4,944 were allowed in.  1931 allowed 4,075.  1932 saw 12,533 come in; and 1933 had a surge of 37,337; 1934 had 45,267 and 1935 had 66,472.  That was the top number.  The influx of Jewish settlers coming in unnerved Herbert Samuels so placed restrictions on Jewish immigration in the interests of the present population and the ability of the land to absorb a large amount of people.  this was when less than a million were living there and it now supports 6 million Jews and 1.7 million Arabs, both citizens of Israel.

By 1936, Jews were receiving more and more restrictions on them in Germany, and couldn't leave easily for Palestine.  29,595 were able to get to Palestine.  1937 saw that cut down to only 10,629.

Kristallnacht, night of broken glass of Jewish shops 1938
1938 allowed 14,675 to leave for Palestine.  1939, the last year allowed to leave when my uncle,  Werner Oster, was one who left in the last month of May, was one who left for the USA while 31,195 others entered Palestine.  1940 allowed 10,643 to enter Palestine but 1941 had only 4,592 enter.

During World War II, the gates of Palestine were closed.  This stranded hundreds of thousands of Jews in Europe, most of whom became victims of Hitler's final Solution.  Even after the war, the Brits refused to allow the survivors of the Holocaust to find sanctuary in Palestine.  On June 6, 1946, President Truman asked the British to relieve the suffering of the Jews confined to displaced persons camps in Europe by accepting 100,000 Jewish immigrants.  Ernest Bevin, their Foreign Minister, replied sarcastically the the USA wanted displaced Jews to immigrate to Palestine "BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TOO MANY OF THEM IN NEW YORK!   Today's Arab refugees do not understand how lucky they are to have been taken into countries -and so easily; hardly any vetting is going on at all.

The Exodus 1947-carried 4,554 Jewish refugees to Palestine organized by Haganah and was seized by the British in the Mediterranean after a battle where 3 Jews were killed.  They were all Holocaust survivors.  The old ship was returned to France but refused to land there, so they had to disembark at hamburg forcefully by British soldiers.
Therefore, from 1919 to May 14, 1948, Israel's birth which was immediately after the Brits' mandate was up and had left, 385,066 Jewish immigrants had entered Palestine from America, Europe and Oceania which was 89.6% of the immigrants.  44,809 had entered from Asia and Africa which was 10.4%.  22,283 entered but whose origin was not known.  All this totaled 452,168 immigrants by the time Israel was created.  Altogether, they had 650,000 people, the same number that Moses had on the Exodus.  6,000,000 Jews were slaughtered in the Holocaust.

Palmach,  Palestine Jews found cooperation from Brits with this group
During the years leading up to 1948, the Jews of Palestine (Yishuv) created their own political institutions and political parties, created a democratically elected Representative Assembly and a national Council.  They had a Jewish Agency that represented all Jews in the world as well as the Yishuv through the British authorities and the League of Nations.  Defense organization such as the Hagana and the Stern Group of which my cousin was the Chief of Intelligence were formed.  They formed educational systems and bodies that dealt with economic and social affairs were born.  This made the transition into an independent State much easier in 1948.  Everything was in place by the Jews living there.

By 1949, the British had allotted 87,500 acres of the 187,500 acres of cultivable land to Arabs and only 4,250 acres to the Jews.

Finally the Peel Commission realized and stated that "the heavy immigration from 1933 to 1936 showed that the Jews have been able to enlarge the absorptive capacity of the  country for Jews."The Peel Commission had been appointed by the British government to look into the 1936 Arab riots against Jews in Palestine.  At the time, the land of Palestine was understood by the commission at the time of the Balfour Declaration to be the whole of historic Palestine including Transjordan.  The Balfour Declaration of 1917 said, "His Majesty's Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people., and will USE THEIR BEST ENDEAVORS TO FACILITATE THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THIS OBJECT, IT BEING CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD THAT NOTHING SHALL BE DONE WHICH MAY PREJUDICE THE CIVIL AND RELIGIOUS RIGHTS OF EXISTING NON-JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN PALESTINE OR THE RIGHTS AND POLITICAL STATUS ENJOYED BY JEWS IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY.  In other words, other countries couldn't expel Jews from where they were already living because of the creation of a Jewish Homeland.

Biased Reasoning from Obama and Kerry From Actual Facts

This is what Obama is demanding of Israel, to go back to a 9 mile width of land. That's the pre-1967 Armistice lines.
This is why Netanyahu cannot possibly consider going back to pre-1967 Armistice lines.  Look at the distances that rockets, mortars and missiles can reach.  Obama is asking Israelis to commit suicide! What audacity; he doesn't even study the map, evidently.
1917 was the end of World War I in which the Ottoman Empire colluded and joined Germany in a world-wide battle against allies of the West.  We all know that the Allies won the war and the Ottoman Empire lost their empire.  Britain was given the mandate over it as they had been allies in the battle and fought in the Middle East.  With the help of the Jewish chemist, Chaim Weizmann, they had won their battles due to improved ammunition from Chaim.  Also on their side was the Arab leader, Abdullah, and his horsemen.  We've seen movies about this episode.
The story of how the Jewish Homeland was cut down in 2 years from a 1920 promised Jewish Homeland mandate of Great Britain to 1923.
Nadene Goldfoot
On April 24, 1920, the British mandated land in the Middle East-area of ancient Israel, land 120,466 sq km. (46,512.1826 sq miles) , was set aside to be the Jewish Homeland.
The “Mandate for Palestine,” an historical League of Nations document, laid down the Jewish legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, an entitlement unaltered in international law. The “Mandate for Palestine” was not a naive vision briefly embraced by the international community. Fifty-one member countries – the entire League of Nations – unanimously declared on July 24, 1922:
“Whereas recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country.”

By July 24, 1922, the Jewish Homeland had been cut by Britain and reduced by 77% of the original plan. Now the Jews were promised 28,166 sq km (10,874.953 sq miles) , but not including Judea and Samaria, their original homeland.  Instead, Britain had appeased Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia who wanted to be a king by giving away most of the Jewish Homeland. which became Jordan. It is important to point out that political rights to self-determination as a polity for Arabs were guaranteed by the same League of Nations in four other mandatesin Lebanon and Syria (The French Mandate), Iraq, and later Trans-Jordan [The British Mandate].

In 1948, when Israel was fighting the battle of their life 5 minutes after declaring statehood in their first of many battles, their War of Independence  (29 November 1947) when Arabs responded with violence to the United Nations resolution on Palestine, which they never have accepted, and which lasted until the signing of the Armistice Agreements in 1949.

Now look at how the 10 thousand sq miles has been cut down to accommodate the Arab Palestinians who for 69 years have been SAYING they must have their own homeland but not accepting any conditions other than the whole 10,000 sq miles which was Israel Israel's given domain after much cutting that Israel was forced to accept or be left with nothing.

And outgoing President Obama and John Kerry have the audacity to scold Israel and take them to the Security Council for allowing the building of some apartment buildings for  Jews in the rightful land they won in the war of 1967 when a gang of Arab nations attacked Israel all at once-and won ; of course miraculously!  Israelis want to live, not die!

After all the shenanigans pulled on Israel through the ages, the bets must have been that the Jews would fold and be finished that summer in July of 1967, and they didn't.  They were stronger and wiser than ever.  Still the enemies of Israel continue to try and have spent all the United Nations time finding fault with them over not giving into Palestinians, enemies who refuse to accept their lives, their presence once again in the Middle East.

As far as nations go, it was Israel who was there first as a nation, for there has never ever been a nation of Palestine.  The Romans picked that name to hurt the Jews of Judah who fought for 3 years against them from 132 to 135 and held Jerusalem during that time.

Am Yisrael Chai!  The Jewish people live!  Despite such organizations of bullies-the United Nations.
I want to know what the Palestinian Arabs have been asked to do and give up in the name of peace.  Egypt and Jordan are the only ones who have signed peace agreements.  That must be considered.  The Palestinians have not done so in the length of Israel's life of almost 69 years since May 14, 1948.  Yes, I'd agree, the academic idea of a peaceful Palestine next door to Israel was giving them half of what was left to the Jews for an Israel, but if peace was promised, the Israelis would go for it; for they want peace more than the Palestinians obviously do for to Jews, life is the most important thing..  To Jews, life is not something to be wasted.  Now, the pundits may be right.  This resolution  is not helping to bring about a Palestine coming in peace; so like Netanyahu has  said, "A 2 state solution?  Not yet; not at this time Palestinians are not ready.."    And believe me, when I say that the Israelis will not go for a Palestine that is another Gaza, another platform to shoot rockets, mortars and missiles into Israel.

UN Resolution 2334-Obama and Kerry's Vote Against Israel

Nadene Goldfoot
1967-winning the War when so many nations attacked-and winning in 6 Days!
Our miracle beyond belief! Elation in being able to be at the Wall -kept from
Jews since 1948 because Jordan stole the land during Israel's War of Independence.
Of course they're dancing the traditional Hora-a wonderful round dance, IDF
and civilians alike!
This is EAST Jerusalem.  According to the UN resolution just passed, Jews cannot come here again.
USA-because you didn't vote NO -this passed.
December 23, 2016, the day before Chanukah and Christmas, something that doesn't happen often with the 2 holidays happening on the same date, and Obama had his chance to show his colors towards Israel.  With a vote of 14 for this horrendously terrible resolution it passed.  Not one nation voted against it.  This has been the role of the United States in the past to vote with aiding this tiny and struggling state against all the odds of anti-Semitism in this unfeeling climate that still feeds on war and bloodshed.  There was one abstention.

Riyad H Mansour  Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the UN, addresses the Council. The Security Council adopted resolution 2334 (2016), reiterating its demand that Israel immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem. The vote on the resolution was 14 in favour, with one abstention (United States).
This was all done through the Security Council.  Some security they are offering to Israel, don't you think?  The permanent members are China, France, Russia, UK, USA.  Non-permanent members that rotate on given years right now involved in this shameful voting process are Angola, Egypt, Malaysia, Senegal, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Danny Danon (centre), Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN, addresses the Council on December 23rd.
This particular resolution is all about the Israeli villages, towns and cities that came to fruition after Israel won the 1967 War in which they were attacked by the Muslim countries of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon and their cohorts; whole armies-and what happened was the miracle that this tiny country won in 6 days!  They were as astounded as Hillary Clinton was in not winning!  In a month they were meeting at Kartoum and decided never to give in to Israel's birth by deciding on the 3 NOs.  They would never be at peace with Israel, ever, ever, ever.

Professor Kontorovich of Northwestern U. Law School in Illinois
Whereas Israel wound up with only 20% of land promised for the Jewish Homeland after 2,000 years of waiting, now the wandering Arabs decided they wanted especially, East Jerusalem, part of King David's Jerusalem, which for over 3,000 years, has been the Jewish heartland of the Jewish religion. Here is Professor Kontorovich's speech about why Israel is following the law and not breaking international law about land over the "Green Line."
http://legalinsurrection.com/2016/03/the-legal-case-for-israels-settlements/

Beit El The Orthodox Jewish town is located in the hills north of Jerusalem, east of the Palestinian city of al-Bireh, adjacent to Ramallah. In September 1997, Beit El was awarded local council status. The head of the local council is Shai Alon. In 2015 its population was 6,046. Its current population is 6,500 residents.
The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
Today's words out of the UN is that Israel's population living in their ancient homeland of Judea and Samaria is a FLAGRANT VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL  LAW AND HAS NO LEGAL VALIDITY.  They demand that Israel stop living there.  They accuse Israel of OCCUPYING THE LAND that for thousands of years was theirs since Joshua entered with the Jews of the Exodus of from c1579-1578 BCE.  You do the math.  That is about 4,000 years ago!  In truth, this WAS land to be part of the Jewish Homeland but Jordan's King Abdullah threw a monkey-wrench into the pot by just helping himself to it with Great Britain's appeasing nature and saying-the heck with what we told the Jews.

The fact of the matter is that according to law, if you are an international lawyer who can see straight and not with anti-Semitic eyes, Israel is in the right since they won the 1967 war!  They didn't start that war but they finished it with help;  help from on high and help with the prayers of all their people and help from the USA's arsenal that they were able to use and pay for.  It wasn't all from the USA's help; believe me.  The Israelis were fighting for their very lives and that of their children's.  There was no place other than Israel that they could go.  They had reason to fight and to win in 6 days.  You will not find such determination in any other situation's army.  They will not be run out again; not by the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans or the Arab nations, or by Kerry, Obama and the UN's votes!

The first bullet shot was the applause heard in the UN's packed chamber.  It was the first bullet to pass since 2009.  Another bill they had to live through was resolution 465 in 1980.  The USA has been quite steady in their support up until Obama's leaving office after 8 years.  He isn't worried about raking in votes now, so is doing as he wishes.  The word out from Israel's ambassador and others is that this resolution came from the USA.  That leaves no other to wonder who instigated it: Obama  This news comes from David Keyes, Prime Minister Netanyahu's spokesman.  They found out that Barack Obama was behind the resolution and he helped with both "formulating and pushing" it.  Also, he threatened to give Trump  the "rather hard" evidence regarding Obama's involvement given to Israel by Arab sources and others.  So this isn't from an email by Russia, but what the Arabs themselves know about.  The fact is that it is so so believable because of Obama's anger towards Netanyahu.  He had even unloaded about it to the Russian President when they were together!

Israel's defense system, Iron Dome,  to shoot down in-coming missiles
Any Jew in the USA who listens to the appeasing reasoning heard by the USA members behind this is kidding himself since this may have very serious ramifications for Israel in general and specifically for the Jewish cities in the medium-to-long term.  Every time the Palestinians win an inch, they take a foot.  Just look at what happened with Gaza.  Jews left totally and gave the area to the Palestinians who use it as their platform to shoot rockets, missiles and mortars into Israel.  Israelis learn quickly, evidently far quicker than Mr. Moon.

What are Israel's replies to such an evil resolution?  Israel's ambassadors have been recalled from member counties.  Visits are cancelled.  Aid is cancelled.  As the world has been turning against Israel again lately, some people think they have seen this coming.  What the real disappointment is of course is the vote from the USA.  The tide wasn't turned.  We knew there was animosity between Obama and Netanyahu, but Israel was truly side-swiped in this; being led to think by others that he would never allow this to happen.  They didn't know Obama.

This resolution will make it hard for Trump-another person Obama certainly does not have favor for, to help Israel.  Trump already asked Egypt, a state with over 79 million Muslims,  to withdraw the proposal and he did.  Then on the 23rd, it was again initiated and proposed, this time by Malaysia with over 27 million Muslims, Senegal with over 11 million Muslims, New Zealand,  and Venezuela. It's shocking who has joined up with this hatred for Israel and who is all for the development of a 49th Muslim state in the world bent on destroying the Jewish one and only;  for Netanyahu is all for a Palestinian state, but one who will accept and recognize  Israel officially, and stop attacking her and teaching their children to attack and kill and to live in peace. For 69 years it's not been on the Palestinian plate to accept, but the UN doesn't care.  Give them their land and be done with it is their motto-Moon in the lead with this.

Palestinian gang-up in Jerusalem, knifing civilians
doing as they're brought up to do-attack Jews
Netanyahu called this vote a gang-up. Gang-up on Israel, it certainly is.  Israel is looking forward to working with Trump to negate the harmful effects of this absurd resolution.  It only helps this BDS movement already going on.

1941 with Husseini and Hitler in Germany
deciding against the Jews-65 years ago and again 23 Dec 2016
The ones who voted against Israel; France and Venezuela are elated to have addressed the "settlements" as they call the villages, towns and cities of Jews living in their own land.  They are happy to have helped the Palestinians get this victory!  Malaysia feels the same way.  Evidently New Zealand has also been showing their favoritism for the Palestinians, for this is what has happened.  It's really a vote between Jews and Palestinian Arabs, and they like the Palestinians that they see as the underdogs without a state.  Why didn't they ever feel that way for the past 2,000 years for the Jews who had lost their state in 70 CE?  How about when as refugees, they were ousted from England in 1290 and not allowed back until 1655?  Germany has always had these feelings, and this vote confirms their long time position  that Jews living in the land they had won back is an obstacle to peace and the 2-state solution.  No sir; the obstacle is the recalcitrant position of the Arabs to not accept peace with Israel.  I think your rose-colored glasses are all smokey.  You have the audacity to want a Palestine who will not be peaceful and will have the power and help from other nations like you to again try to destroy Jews!

A kibbutz Sha'ar HaAmakim is a kibbutz in northern Israel associated with the Hashomer Hatzair movement founded in 1935. Located near Kiryat Tiv'on near Haifa, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In 2014 it had a population of 688.  No, it's not part of the land Jews are expected to leave.  I just wanted readers to see what Jews can do with the land, for Jews have been kept from ever owning land and working it in
all the countries they have been living in.  They've never been real citizens until the USA was created and they were able to live in the land of the free.
Of course, Israel will not comply with the terms of this resolution.  It does show us again the bias of the world against Israel, doesn't it.

Obama and Kerry's Parting Slap in the Face Through UNESCO to Israel

"Friends don't take their friends to the Security Council and berate and vote against them", said Netanyahu of the USA in shock since the USA had implied that everything would be okay, completely misleading Israel as to their real intentions.

The resolution that Egypt signed on for was not their resolution originally but a state not at the level of do so as yet, so Egypt, a state who has a peace treaty with Israel,  did it for them.  Trump got Egypt to get out of it, and Senegal and 3 others took it on to the UN in Egypt's place.  For years the USA has been voting with Israel, not against her, and this vote of abstaining is really a no vote, not a yes vote.

The Western Wall (Wailing Wall) is the only place allowed to Jews to pray which is on the Temple Mount,
site of Solomon's Temple, 1st and 2nd.  This is part of "East Jerusalem"
which USA voted so as to deny Israel this by calling it "occupied territory."
All else is taken over by Muslims who deny Jews to step on property-by Moshe Dayan's
decision in order to maintain peace between the 2 peoples.
And what about this phrase of "Occupied Palestinian Territory of Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem"?  Since when have these ancient homelands of the Jews become legalized "occupied territory that Jews are living in which the UN calls "occupation" and "settlements?"  Has anyone ever heard of villages or towns or cities? Why "settlements, a very political term?  Is New York still a settlement?

1947 partition by UN
Israel was left with 20% of the original land promised to them by the League of Nations in 1920 and again by the UN.  Palestine was Britain's mandated land that was to become the "Jewish Homeland" once again.  Judea and Samaria were the original sites of Israel, which makes this doubly sensitive.  Transjordan had bawled things up in 1948 by stealing land east of the Jordan River.  Abdullah, prince of Saudi Arabia needed land because he wanted to be a king, and this made him king of what was to be called "Jordan."  He and an Arab Legion and Jewish help from Chaim Weizmann's advanced weaponry and Jewish forces  had helped Britain win in WWI.  Obviously the Arabs with oil in other lands won favor in Britain's eyes.

It took the year 1967 until Jews could even go to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem once again to pray since 1948, for it was in East Jerusalem where Arabs had been allowed to live and attack Jews from by the Brits!.  All the surrounding Arab states had attacked Israel, and with G-d's help, this tiny fledgling state won the fight in 6 amazing days beating all the odds!  Indeed, it was a miracle!  Six days of human loss for the Jews, and they were in shock and awe that they had by winning, won back the land they had lost in the illegal grab by Jordan.

Now, this is the land that the Palestinian Arabs would like to have  for a state of their own.  Why?  Have they gone 2,000 years as a homeless people like the Jews?  No.  They're not even a people called the Palestinians, for anyone living in "Palestine" for the past 400 years up to 1948 was called a Palestinian; both Jew, Gentile and Muslim.  The land had been in the Ottoman Empire's hands.  In fact, a Palestine state will be the 57th Muslim majority state in the world.  Israel is the one and only Jewish state in the world, now with about an 80% Jewish majority.

Nasser of Egypt attending Khartoum Conference in  August 1967
After losing the War that lasted 6 Days in June1967 Egyptfought against Israel
with the ARMIES of Syria,  Jordan, and Iraq. In 6 days, Israel destroyed their
armies along its frontiers and menaced their vital centers.. Jerusalem was re-unified.
Israel has been for a 2 state solution between the Arabs and themselves for the sake of peace, but the Arabs have said NO ever since before Israel's declaration of becoming a state, and have been made this offer ever since, with the continual refusal of NO.  In fact, at the Kartoum Conference  in 1967 by the Arab nations had solidified this answer by coming up with 3 NOs after Israel had won.  No wonder peace talks at a peace table have led to nothing.

"Finally, the leaders of thirteen Arab states gathered at a summit conference in Khartoum, Sudan from August 29 to September 1 (1967). There they pledged to continue their struggle against Israel. Influenced by Nasser, "their conditions were quite specific: no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel, and 'maintenance of the rights of the Palestinian people in their nation.' The Khartoum Declaration was the first serious warning to the Israelis that their expectation of an imminent 'phone call' from the Arab world might be a pipe dream" (Sachar)."

By losing the war, Arabs lost the rights of ever being able to legitimately tell the Palestinian Arab that the ancient Jewish land they were living on would ever become their NATION.  In fact, East Jerusalem, where many Arabs had congregated, has been under Israel law  since July 30, 1980.
"The Jerusalem Law (Hebrewחוק יסוד: ירושלים בירת ישראל‎‎, Arabicقانون القدس‎‎) is a common name of Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel passed by the Knesset on July 30, 1980 (17th Av, 5740)."

Trump won Presidency by
Electoral voting

Right now we have a situation in the United State similar to what has happened between Israel and the rest of the world.  The Democrats have lost the election and Donald Trump has won.  Many, far too many Democrats are saying such things as "Trump is not MY president," though they are still living in the USA.  We have had presidents before win by the season of the ELECTORAL VOTE and not by the POPULAR VOTE. which is the situation between Trump and Clinton today. In Los Angeles, capitol of the movie industry, performers are refusing to entertain at Trump's inauguration because they are Democrats.  They can't get over it as Republicans had been for the last 8 years with accepting Obama.  Democrats were SO SURE they would win.  So were the Arab nations in 1967.

Legally, according to all that has gone before us in history, Israel has the right of claiming land they inherited   that should have been theirs in the first place by WINNING THE BATTLE of 1967.  Read Professor Kontorovich's lecture on this topic.  He's an expert on international law from Northwestern U in the USA.   http://legalinsurrection.com/2016/03/the-legal-case-for-israels-settlements/

Everyone else expected that so many countries fighting against her would win, and have refused to accept the fact that one tiny country could win.  They're in complete denial. Facts are being treated as falsehoods.  It's like what Hitler had said, "If you say a lie enough times, people will believe it," and Jews have never been popular with the rest of the world, unfortunately, so anything nasty said about them becomes more believable.

Palestinian ramming his car into Jerusalem crowd
So far, the Arabs are also not ready to make peace.  Trump will try as his reputation is that of a deal-maker, not a social -worker.  He's a business man who is used to wheeling and dealing.  He feels it must happen at a time when Israel and the Arabs can come to an agreement by themselves, not forced into one which Obama-Kerry has tried to do and by setting up oppositional situations at that.  This position of the USA's vote will make it even harder on Trump and Israel now.
