The Hamas Leadership of Palestine-Terrorism Created a State Part I

Nadene Goldfoot

Terrorism is the name of the game.  In 1987 Hamas branched off of the PLO run by Yasser Arafat.  Hamas translates to the Islamic Resistance Movement.  They were founded as the major players in their terrorist war against Israel .

Ideology of Hamas

1. Muslim Brotherhood Islamists
2. Opposed PLO, won elections over PA (former PLO) in January 2006, forced PA out of Gaza
3. Motto: of Hamas Charter:   Israel will exist until Islam will obliterate it.  There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad-a holy war.

In February 2006 Hamas broadcast the following message.  "My message to the loathed Jews is that there is no God but Allah.  We will chase you everywhere!  We are a nation that drinks blood, and we know that there is no blood better than the blood of Jews".  I'm forced to digress here because we Jews are adamant about blood.  We have no part of it.  We don't eat or drink blood.  That's part of our kosher law.  So this is repulsive to us that they would even consider doing such a thing.  "We will not leave you alone until we have quenched our thirst with your blood, and our children's thirst with your blood."  For a religious people who profess to have Moses as a prophet, they certainly don't follow one iota of his teachings, since he taught us not to consume any amount of blood.  For terrorists who hide behind women and children, they are such braggadociacs trying to frighten Jews. They do make me throw up with their Dracula talk.

The mark of a true man is to keep his word.  Saying or promising one thing and doing another is the mark of their agreements.  During the Oslo negotiations, Yasser Arafat, the PLO and the PA, had committed to disarming and dismantling terrorist groups.  Instead, they  practice to this very day::
1. Continue to arm terrorists- using tunnels, illegal enterprises, from ships,
2. Promote incitement -on civic programs, TV, schools, mosques
3. Give terrorists financial and ideological support for terrorist deeds

Hamas had been staying mostly in Gaza, but since the kidnapping of 3 Israeli teenagers of the past 11 days, they have been found by Israeli teams searching for them to be in Judea-Samaria.  Leaders have also been staying in Syria, Lebanon and Iran.    They have been closely tied to Syria, Iran and Lebanon.  Funding for them comes from groups in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Western Europe, Hezbollah, and others.  They are listed as a terrorist organization by the US State Department.  That didn't stop the State Department and John Kerry to push for a 2 state solution and allow terrorists to govern a neighbor of Israel-with a provision that they will be watched.  The international Soccer Games are being watched also.  Watching is not preventing the goals of this group.

Terrorist Activities of shootings, bombings, rocket attacks, suicide missions
1. 2003-2004:  773 terrorist attacks
2. 1993-2000:  41 suicide bombings
3. 2000-2005:  58 suicide bombings
4. September 2000 -April 2004:  377 Israelis killed, 2,076 wounded (82% were civilians)
5. 2005:  29 suicide bombers foiled and arrested
6. 2000-2005:  40% of all suicide bombers were Hamas
7. September 28, 2000-December 31, 2005:  25,770 terrorist attacks
   a. 147 suicide bombings....47% of all deaths
   b. 1,084 killed
   c. 7,454 injured

Al Qaeda and Hezbollah operatives established cells in Gaza.  They  and Hamas compete and collaborate with each other.  Other Arab states offer terrorists safe havens.  Hamas leader Khaled Maashal lived in Damascus, Syria.  Hamas and Hezbollah signed an agreement in 2004 to increase attacks on Israel.

Fatah was founded in 1959 by Yasser Arafat, with Mahmood Abbas, others.  Abbas has been Chairman since November 11, 2004;  President since January  15, 2005

; took over PLO which started in 1964 in 1968 and remained the PLO's largest faction.  Since uniting with Hamas, they share the same charter and goals on it.

Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade

Ideology of Fatah

1.  Secular Arab nationalist organization,
2. Motto when PLO:  Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine, the partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time.
3.1968:  Claims of Jews of historical or religious ties are incompatible with the facts of history-
4.  Revolutionary Nationalist Liberation Group
     a. 1973-Tanzim, military, operational wing with Marwan Barghouti-jailed with life terms
     b. 2000-Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade after 2nd intifada

Terrorist Activities of Guerilla warfare, shootings, bombing, and rocket and suicide attacks.

April 2001:  "We may lose or win, but our eyes will continue to aspire to the strategic goal, namely, to Palestine from the river to the sea (Israel).  Whatever we get now cannot make us forget this supreme truth."
Faisal Husseini, PLO Representative and PA minister in Jerusalem, born in Baghdad 1940.  He died on May 31, 2001 in Kuwait from a heart attack. He was a relative of Haj Mohammad Amin al-Husayni, the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who caused so much rioting against Jews.  .

1. 2003-2004:  214 terrorist attacks
2. 2000-2005:  33 suicide bombings
3. January 27, 2002-1st female suicide bomber
4. 2002-2005:  5 female suicide bombers dispatched
5. 2005:  47 suicide bombers foiled and arrested

Fatah has several militias, including Force-17, midway into the 2nd Intifada.  Fatah militias started coordinating with radical Islamist terrorist groups for joint terrorist attacks.  3rd Intifada declared June 2014.  The PA has officially celebrated suicide bombers as heroic martyrs and authorized public incitement in the media, schools and mosques to attack Israel and Israelis.  Many PA security officials doubled as terrorist operatives.  In January 2006, PA Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas announced he would continue the PA policy of paying suicide bombers' families with annual stipends.  In the same month, Hamas won the majority vote and took over the reigns of governing Gaza.

Abbas tried to have a return of all Palestinians in the peace process.  "In July 2012, Abbas accused former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice of fabricating a conversation between them and denied that such a conversation took place. The specific quote he denied was, "I can’t tell four million Palestinians that only five thousand of them can go home," regarding the issue of Palestinian refugees. Abbas further said, "I’m not calling her a liar... I am saying that we never had that conversation." In response, Rice denied that she fabricated it, as her chief of staff Georgia Godfrey wrote, "Dr. Rice stands by her account of the conversation and what she wrote in her book."  Such a return, when Israel already as 1.7 million Arab citizens and 6 million Jews, would drown out the Jews in  short time. The population size in itself is a weapon against Israel.

Did the 1st intifada start because Prime Minister Shaon visited the al-Aqsa Mosque?  Not according to Imad Falouji the PA Communications Minister on March 3, 2001. He said it was planned in advance ever since President Arafat's return from Camp David negotiations, where he turned the table upside down on President Clinton.  Former president Jimmy Carter came under fire in 2007 for titling his book on Middle East peace Palestine: Peace or Apartheid John Kerry threatened Israel in 2014 that it would be an Apartheid state if they didn't go for the 2 state solution immediately.   " Since January 2013, the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority rebranded itself as the State of Palestine in official documents, after the United Nations voted to recognize Palestine as a non-member UN observer state ."

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday, April 27, 2014:  the new unity government he is set to head with the backing of Hamas would reject violence and recognize Israel and existing agreements.   Israel said it would not negotiate with a government backed by Hamas, the armed Islamist movement ruling the Gaza Strip, which is pledged to the destruction of the Jewish state and has always rejected peace talks. As of today, the 3 kidnapped Israeli teens are still missing.  So are the 2 kidnappers just named.  The UN bashes Israel's searching for the teens, minimizes the act of kidnapping.  This is the green light for more to come.  They are punishing  the victims, Israel.  Par for the course with this noble body of world peace- makers.

Netanyahu has endorsed Palestine but with conditions.  The Palestinian state would have to be demilitarized, with international guarantees that it remain so; it would have to cede control of its airspace to Israel; and it could be created only if the Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland.   In his 40-minute address, Netanyahu rejected the idea of resettling any Palestinian refugees inside Israel and insisted that Jerusalem would remain under the full control of Israel instead of becoming a joint capital -- issues that the Palestinians say should be negotiated.   Judea Samaria, (won back by Israel after it was illegally taken by Transjordan)  in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, is home to nearly 300,000 Jewish settlers.   Abbas has said over and over that Palestine is to be Judenrein-devoid of all Jews.
